Important Notice: Important Hazard Pay Update

Payment Update: For those that qualify, the additional payment you will be receiving Friday is your Hazard payment from DMAS and the CARES Act. Thank you for the work you do!

If you receive the Difficulty of Care exclusion for State and Federal Income Tax, it doesn’t apply to the CARES Act payment as this payment isn’t from the Medicaid funding that is where the Federal/State Income tax exclusion comes from. So you will see that State and Federal Income tax has been taken out of just this Hazard Payment only. Your regular pay will continue to exclude you from paying Federal and State Income Tax.
