Overview

The Arizona Provider program is a service delivery model where individuals with developmental disabilities and their families choose to utilize independent attendants for their Home and Community Based services through Arizona Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities. 

Participants can 

Find, hire, manage, and dismiss your careworkers.

Use BetterOnline to review your budget and approved services.

Use BetterOnline to monitor your careworker’s hours and spending.

Use BetterOnline and Time4Care to review, approve, and submit your careworker’s timesheets.

Services include

Payroll – We process payroll for your careworker using money from your budget.

Employment tax requirements – We handle all employment-related taxes for you, including federal, state, local, and unemployment.

Enrollment support – We help you and your careworker with enrollment and training through your enrollment specialist,

Customer service – Our friendly and professional customer service agents are available five days a week to help you with any questions.

Service reports – With our reports you’ll always have a clear picture of the services you’ve received.

BetterOnline™

Better Online is a web-based app that keeps you organized and gives you the tools and info you need to manage your self-direction journey. Handle timesheets, check how much you spend each month, and get answers when you need them. It’s easy to use and available from any internet-connected device.

Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)

Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) is used in your program. Submit and approve timesheets with Time4Care EVV, our easy-to-use mobile app.

Telephony/Landline Option for EVV Instructions (Must be Signed up to Use)

The telephony option is for employees who do not have access to a smart device, such as a smart phone or tablet, to clock-in and clock-out via the PPL mobile application. In order to use the telephony option, the Participant’s landline must be stored in the Participant’s PPL Profile and the Participant must call Customer Service to advise PPL that they want their employee to use the telephony option for EVV. The Participant’s phone number and address must be updated and accurate in PPL’s portal.
Telephony will not work until after Customer Service has been contacted to register the landline. If you call the telephony number from any phone that is not registered or stored in the Participant’s profile, you will not be able to submit or approve shifts through the system.

Phone Line Registration

Participant should first call PPL customer service to register their landline phone. Customer Service can be reached at: 1-800-391-5193

Submitting and Approving Shifts

To submit a shift as an employee or approve/reject a shift as a Participant you will call this dedicated telephony number: 833-771-1837

Attendants will

  1. Employees will need to “Select option 1 to indicate that you are the individual delivering care”.
  2. Participants will need to “Select option 2 to indicate that you are the individual receiving care”.
  3. Enter last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (SSN) and Date of Birth.
  4. Select Program Participant from list
    Follow prompts to start new, modify, or end shift.
  5. If needed follow prompts to correct and resubmit entries.

Participant/Authorized Representative will

  1. Dial 833-771-1837
  2. Employees will need to “Select option 1 to indicate that you are the individual delivering care”.
  3. Participants will need to “Select option 2 to indicate that you are the individual receiving care”.
  4. Verify identity by entering Last 4 digits of SSN and DOB.
  5. Select employee from list.
  6. Follow prompts to review and approve or reject any submitted shifts
